Tucson’s Creative Catering Makes Cowgirl Dreams Come True
It’s “Cowgirl Up” time for Chicks N Chaps– and Tucson’s Creative Catering knows just how to make it happen. This year, the company is a major sponsor of Chicks N Chaps’ first-time rodeo clinic, which will raise funds for patients and research at theUniversity of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC). Creative Catering is a family owned and operated business, with husband and wife team of Bill and M.J. Essenmacher, assisted by their three children, Keri, Billy and Tasha.
The company has been in the off-premise catering business since 1985, so it has orchestrated every kind of event imaginable (and some that aren’t!) in Southern Arizona.
“Because we live in this community, Creative Catering is stepping up to the plate to assist the Chicks N Chaps’ fundraising effort to benefit The University of Arizona Cancer Center,” said M.J. “We are proud to be a part of this effort, especially since all the funds raised will stay right here in Tucson. So, we plan and organize, knowing our efforts will benefit so many that need help. And just so you all know – we are having a blast putting our part together for this worthy cause.”
According to M.J., the planning started in January when the company was first contacted to be a sponsor for the event. And shortly after the first meeting, she and her staff were out buying décor items. Next came the brain storming sessions, menu design, and logistics..
“Buying some of the decor first got our creative juices started, and then – everything just fell into place,” explained M.J. “Putting events together like this is so much fun – we are so blessed to love what we do.
We have all done everything in this business from sweeping and mopping floors, to schlepping equipment around and planning, planning and more planning. Oh yeah – taste testing too! This is the kind of event we we can put our hearts into.”
What does Creative Catering have planned for the Chicks N Chaps event? “It will be a wonderful experience in the ‘Chick Pit’ that includes a rodeo-themed atmosphere, fabulous food, marvelous company and, of course, a Mimosa Bar,” said Mary Davis, Chicks N Chaps event Co Chair. “There couldn’t be a more perfect sponsor for this event. We are so blessed that the Essenmachers have agreed to be part of the Chicks N Chaps family.”
